Did you know that at some point in their lives, four out of every five adults in the United States will be infected with human papillomavirus (HPV), the virus that causes cervical cancer in women? It's true. A vaccine has been approved to prevent girls and young women from ever getting some types of the virus. If you live in Missouri or the greater Kansas City area, you might even be able to access the vaccine for free. I've just visited the Missouri HPV coalition's Web site: www.mohpv.org. It gives a lot of great information about HPV and the vaccine. There's also an interactive map to help you find the clinics nearest you that are providing the vaccine for free. Check it out today and tell a friend!
