Mission & Goals

Mission: 

The Missouri HPV Education Coalition educates the public about the link between the human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer; shares information about the availability of the HPV vaccine in Missouri and the greater Kansas City area; and empowers diverse communities to advocate for improved access to comprehensive cervical healthcare.

Goals: 

1) Educate young women, girls and their parents about HPV and its link to cervical cancer and inform them of their ability to access the HPV vaccine, at no charge, through grants provided by the Missouri Foundation for Health, the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City, and the REACH Healthcare Foundation.

2) Reduce the number of new cervical cancer cases and other genital HPV-related health issues in Missouri and the greater Kansas City area by ensuring that all eligible girls and young women receive the HPV vaccine.
