Pap tests (cervical cancer screenings) save lives!

• Women who receive the HPV vaccine should still get regular check-ups to be screened for cervical cancer. The vaccine will not prevent all cases of HPV.


• All women should get regular Pap tests within three years of becoming sexually active or by age 21, whichever comes first.


• If an HPV infection is found early, it can be treated before the cells turn into cancer.
