Pap tests (cervical cancer screenings) save lives!
Women who receive the HPV vaccine should still get regular check-ups to be screened for cervical cancer. The vaccine will not prevent all cases of HPV.
All women should get regular Pap tests within three years of becoming sexually active or by age 21, whichever comes first.
If an HPV infection is found early, it can be treated before the cells turn into cancer.
